Depending on your group size and time allotted, activities could include:
Volunteering on the Farm: Working in small groups to complete various farm chores and gardening tasks. This kind of time working alongside your colleagues to achieve a goal can have far-reaching benefits.
Animal Husbandry: Performing basic goat care down at our Dairy (i.e. feeding the goats hay, filling up water, brushing goats, walking the herd to pasture, etc.)
Social: Your team can enjoy a picnic lunch, outdoors beneath our Cultiva shade structure, or an end-of-work happy hour under our barn porch. The view of the flatirons can’t be beat!
Educational: You are never too old to keep learning. An in-depth tour of the farm and gardens is included in all teambuilding opportunities! We will discuss the important role that Growing Gardens and Long’s Gardens play in our community and can cover all sorts of topics including land conservation, food security, regenerative agriculture, and even introduce you to our goat herd and guard llama!
Classes or Workshops: We have a super talented staff here at the Gardens. There are a lot of options for short workshops that could be taught as a part of your visit including but not limited to cheese making, garden design, farm-fresh cooking, yoga in the garden, or even beekeeping!
Reflection: A mindful minute can go a long way after a team builder at the farm. Take a minute to digest all the goodness of the land, and recharge – ready to take on the rest of the day!
We have ample parking, bike racks, we are accessible by bus, and have bathrooms on-site. Team Builders range from 2 – 4 hours.
