Growing Gardens respectfully acknowledges the land on which this community farm thrives, is the traditional territories of the
Hinóno’éí (Arapaho), Tsistsistas (Cheyenne), Newe (Shoshone) and Nuciu (Ute) nations. Many other Tribal Nations traveled through and
once called this place home for generations before the impacts of forced removal and colonization.
We recognize the special relationships that exist between Indigenous peoples and their ancestral land, and express our gratitude for their stewardship throughout generations.
As we work to nurture the earth and foster community on this soil, we commit ourselves to understanding and respecting the history, traditions and ongoing presence of Indigenous people today. We will continue to educate ourselves by working with these communities to amplify their voices and social issues by collaborating, supporting and being present.
Growing Gardens extends our gratitude to Harvest of All First Nations in supporting and developing this land acknowledgment.
Harvest of All First Nations (HAFN) is focused on Indigenous-led Reparations, Rematriation, and Earth-based Decolonization for the benefit of BIPOC+ communities for cultural education and Health Equity. HAFN is a grassroots community-based organization guided by the council of leaders creating change in BIPOC+ and underserved communities in the Denver/Boulder Front Range, and beyond.
