Celery and Shaved Broccoli Stem Salad is a refreshing twist on a veggie-forward side dish. Tossed in a savory blend of soy sauce and sesame oil, and finished with a sizzling infusion of garlic and spicy red chili. Ingredients 

  • 1 bunch celery, cut into sticks
  • 2 broccoli stems
  • Sesame oil
  • 2 Tbsp soy sauce
  • 2 -4 cloves garlic
  • 2 – 3 spicy red chilli peppers

Directions 

  1. Boil water and add celery, then cook for 1 minute
  2. Drain celery, then add to a bowl of ice water for 30 seconds
  3. Drain celery again
  4. With a peeler, peel the broccoli stem, making thin, long slices, then combine with the celery
  5. In a pan, heat sesame oil and add garlic and spicy red chili pepper
  6. Stir for 30 seconds, then add to the celery and broccoli stems
  7. Add soy sauce and season with salt and pepper
  8. Drizzle with sesame oil
  9. Mix thoroughly, then enjoy!
